Barak Blackburn spends his spare time thinking of ways for adults to better play make-believe. He believes that what is most important is ease of play, followed by seamless immersion into the source material. He is a tabletop gamer, comicbook, and pop-culture fan who figured out a way to beat the system and channel his creative energy into designing games. As a game designer, he is always looking for a compelling reason for game mechanics to exist, and new and interesting approaches to task resolution. He has done most of his work for Spectrum Games (www.spectrum-games.com), and loves to problem solve. He was the lead designer for Capes, Cowls, and Villains Foul (a superheroic comicbook RPG), Retrostar (1970s sci-fi), the storytelling game Dance ‘Til Dawn, and contributed to most of Spectrum’s other lines and releases.
