Registering for PortConMaine is easy! And it includes every event at the convention. If you pre-register you'll save money, you'll secure yourself a spot at the convention, and you'll get a day for pre-registered people ONLY on Thursday! Woot!

Pre-registration means your tickets will be waiting for you at the door when you arrive at the convention. It also means you get Thursday free. After the deadline of June 1st, you'll be able to buy tickets at the door if you are not pre-registered starting on Friday of the convention. 

Only pre-registered attendees can attend Thursday. It is a completely free day for registered attendees! You will not be able to purchase a badge on Thursday. Doors open to all attendees on Friday. You will be able to purchase a badge on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. We have been doing this since 2008- an extra day ONLY for those people who pre-register. Keep that in mind when you're considering registering: we don't let people in on Thursday to get tickets for the rest of the week. And Thursday is a half day- starting at 4 PM and closing at Midnight. Thursday is a day with a complete schedule: not just a fluff day to sign in early- an actual EXTRA convention day!

Registration Rates:

*Again, Pre-Registrants, no matter how many days they register for, receive Thursday free! PortConMaine is proud to be the first convention in New England to offer a free day full of great programming for people who sign up in advance. The only way to attend Thursday is to Pre-Register in advance for the conference. There is no additional cost for the fourth day, other than registering ahead of time.

Refunds for the year of the convention will not be made past June 1st of that year. No refunds will be made at the convention.

Lost or stolen badges will not be replaced during the event. Please understand that it is standard convention policy NOT to replace lost or stolen badges. Make sure when you leave your hotel room, house, car, etc, that your badge is on you at all times.

Attendance Cap:
2,000
The attendance cap represents 2,000 people at the convention at any given point. We have yet to reach capacity due to multiple reasons: people coming for one day, people going in and out to the mall, etc. Should capacity be reached it will be posted at registration. We do not believe this will be a problem. Historically we have not met this cap.

Badges will be sold at the door as well as in advance.

Group Rates:

Groups of 10 or more can take an additional $5 off the cost of each of their pre-registrations (it doesn't matter if it's a 3-day, 2-day, or 1-day). Groups MUST mail their forms in together to secure the rate. Mail in forms only, by the registration deadline. 

Child Rates:

Children under the age of 12 (meaning 11 years old or younger) may attend at half off with an accompanying adult. Children 5 years or younger are free.

Parent Rates:

We currently work within the restraints of a hotel that can only fit so many people. Due to this restriction, we do not offer free or discounted badges to parents. We thank you for attending and supporting your children in their interests and hobbies; but other than staffing or badges for children 5 years or younger, there are no free badges. If you are interested in staffing, please consider applying for staff.
