Not sure, I hadn't read the topic since the Thursday before Portcon. Might I suggest editing the topic title to indicate that we're talking about the Japanese releases and not Cartoon Network/Shonen Jump USA runs?

My brother was right, it was pages from a book, but the message was a bit of a let down. And i guess One of Pain's bodies really was captured because now he has a new one. At least now we know there's a seventh body controlling the six.

Who thinks Pain is underestimating the strength of the Leaf Village? *raises hand* I'm a little concerned about the death toll during the attack though.

What I'm thinking is that, like Gaara, Naruto will use his powers to the extent that he can control to save people in the village during the attack rather than to just fight an enemy like he has been. Perhaps this battle will be his first Hokage-like act.

Well, at least bringing the battle to Konaha should give us a little more character involvement. I'd hate to see the God of Amegakure get beat single-handedly by a fifteen-year-old. It'd be more exciting to see all of Konaha take out the Rikudou one-by-one. (Y'know, Team Gai take on the long-hair Taijutsu user, Kurenai's team take on the effeminate one, etc.) I'd also like to see Konan get killed first. Maybe see a little emotion from Pein... Maybe.

The problem with narutos new technique (aside from being dangerous to use) is that, storywise, it has more limited applications. In action anime characters get hit all the time by each others special attacks and come back from them. But if anyone gets hit by narutos attack, its game over. Pain happens to have more bodies that can take hits from it, but still.. From what tsunade said, it annihilates people, regardless of whether it actually kills them or not. So we won't see naruto using it on sasuke, and I doubt we'll see it connect on madara. It might be feasible for naruto to hit then with it, but he won't because then they're done for the rest of the story

You don't know that. Itachi asked him if was willing to kill sasuke if he turned evil, in the end sasuke could die. You can't rule out that possibility.

What you seem to be forgetting is, we don't know anything yet. Naruto's new technique may not be perfect. There's always a counter. That's what makes this series so excellant. It's (usually, anyway) unpredictable. We might get tossed a curveball. In the end, as stated before, Sasuke could end up dead. Or Naruto. Or everybody could die in an epic landslide of chocolate pudding.

... Okay, maybe not that. But, you get my point. XD

And, on Pein's new body, I get the feeling it's just a really effeminate dude. The face really isn't all that girly, just kinda young. I guess we'll find out when we see its shoes.
