Where do you get your manga?

Being a former employee of Waldenbooks, I was happy to support them until they closed *sniffle, RIP!* I then switched to Borders, but I have had SUCH a bad run with them I want to take my business elsewhere and started wondering... when it's time for a manga, where do you shop?

If its a series I'm already familiar with and I just want the next volume, I get it from amazon or half.com. When I'm just browsing for a new series I'll check out Borders. That's the only place in my area that sells manga.

I used to mostly get mine at Borders, but they can be expensive. Since Bullmoose up here now has books, I can get used manga (super cheap!). Their books are also all 30% off list price, but they have a limited selection. I have gotten some off of Borders.com used section, which allowed me to get the specific version of the books I needed. Even with shipping it is still cheaper. I have been looking at other sites such as BarnesandNobel.com and TFAW.com. B&N gives discounts on older new books too.

P.S. I have waaaaaay too much manga, but I love it so.

Barnes & Noble's used section, Borders, amazon, RightStuf, thrift stores and ebay for English stuff. CDJapan, YesAsia, Mandarake, and Amiami for my doujin and Japanese manga. Sometimes I might find a doujin on ebay or livejournal that's a fair price, but usually they jack the price up waay too high for me, so I go closer. If Toranoana shipped to the states, I'd use them, too. But, they don't.

Mostly Boarders, but I do browse around local bookstores to see what they have. It's never what I'm looking for though. XD

Weekend Anime during portcon is the only time I actually buy manga. There is a bookstore I use to go to when I use to buy fancy fashion mags from the UK but when I asked if they could order me a manga the manager told me that she "didnt want that kind of clientele at her shop" so I dont shop there anymore.

I tend to go as local as possible for everything, so I find stores that carry stuff around me and just shop there. For manga/comics, I tend to go to either Weekend Anime or Monster Fun Box in portland

I'm too cheap to buy it so I read as much from a local library as possible and the rest I read online as it gets scanned. Then I'm up-to-date and don't need a bigger bookshelf.  8)
