Snowcon 2009 in Orono
« on: November 03, 2008, 10:31:50 PM »
http://www.bangpopmaine.com/snowcon09/index.html

It's from the makers of Bangpop. Does anyone feel like going? Just for my lack of actual tabletop experience, I might go and participate, but I'm not really going to expect too too many events other than just general "We're just gonna chuck some dice and have a good time." kind of thing.

Even though it might not be 100% appropriate, I'm going to finish up work on Elizabeth and go as him/her, even bringing along a signboard.

I might go and check it out. It looks like it might be interesting, assuming they have Munchkin. ESPECIALLY if they have Munchkin!

I'm hard pressed and torn... I really wanted to go to Arisia last year and was planning/hoping to go this year... Also the FFFlea... *runs off to check dates again*

Though, if I can get certain costumes done before then, and Shipyard is going to be there... Well.... I might be obligated to show.

Yup. Arisia is 16-19th and The FFFlea isn't until Feb. So I'm safe there. ;)

Hmmm.... Tough decisions...

I am with you there. Half the time I was at the con, I spent it either lapping around the Dealer's room or sitting in a chair talking to Luxx. The other half was sitting in on panels and participating in the costume contest, in which I got second to last place. However, I did walk away with a nice Hellsing inking, a Bangpop T-Shirt, and the first volume of the FMA manga.

Next weekend! I just went shopping for some fun stuff to make for my steam costume. :) Billy's running a Pathfinder game, and ckstonge is running a collesium game in which you can take part AND still play other games simultaneously. ;)

And thanks to Taga, I think Isaac's gona be steamed out for costume. ;)

Yay, five days until con! Also, I will not be cosplaying this time around. My Free cosplay still needs things that I can't get a hold of and, well, yeah. Because you see, while I could fudge not having the contact lens, he absolutely has to have the ball n' chain around his ankle.

That aside, I will be there and I will see you all there!

I'm just glad to have something near by (Only 30 miles away). Sadly I can only go Saturday Afternoon because my shift got messed up for Saturday so I have to work in the morning.

I live a whole 1.5 miles away. :P I've got to work on Saturday, but Ian and I might have to go check things out before this shindig ends.

I'll poke my head in and see if it has really improved since BangPop. (Nothing against the people who did BangPop. It's hard to get a brand new convention going, this I know.) Oh, and I'll probably be seeing some people to say hi and whatnot too...

I'm going to be possibly steamed... I'm thinking that Jeans might be a better option than the full skirts I had in mind for working at it.... Can't really move so fast and well in hoops!

Arch: I didn't know you lived up there! :)

All I have done is a steam jacket. Hmm! Maybe I can finish something in time.

WA will have a booth selling stuff in the vendors room. Come visit! :)
