AKA: Toiwposftromla (I like to call it Toypostraumla). Standing for: THAT'S OKAY I WASN'T PLANNING ON SLEEPING FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE ANYWAY.

After finding a treasure trove of mindlessly traumatizing videos on YouTube that can disturb the most hardy, I've decided to share my collection of pure, unadulterated evil with you all. I'm looking to put this panel forward. This would be a panel for the scar-heavy, hardcore crazies to test their medal, or earn their rite of passage. I've got a plethora of creepy pasta and such. My collection is not endless, however! If you find something mind-scarring, please pm me, or email me at saemyr@yahoo.com. That being said, any offensive material won't make it in, so keep that in mind before sending (I will still reply my "wait, wtf?"s to you. This panel is fitting for an apocalyptic PortCon.

I know this falls close to "Cannot Be Unseen", but I'm looking to have you lying awake in bed, waiting for Spongebab to come take you away, instead of jarring your mind with the unseen world (I'M STILL ATTENDING THAT PANEL IF IT'S UP THIS COMING CON). So again, looking for some comments, votes, suggestions, etc. Don't dive too far looking for suggestions! I need some surprises for my panel (if I can get it going!). :D Again, any vids you have (or general creepy pasta) send via pm or email, don't post here.

Videos and stories will not be limited to YouTube. I just want to show you what YouTube allows and overlooks, while they're busy taking down copyright infringements and music videos. Some of the videos don't even have an age restriction.

Just to warn you, the internet speed at the hotel is HORRIBLE! It makes dial-up look like FIOS D:

So if this panel gets the go-ahead, make sure to do one of the following:

• rip videos from youtube (if they aren't copyrighted material)
• load all the videos/pages before the panel
• if you have a way to connect to the internet that doesn't involve hotel wireless, USE IT!

Otherwise, there will be a LOT of headaches X3

I have that already set. :D I have 25mb net at home and Ant Video Downloader. Along with a decent laptop and PLENTY of time to to get the videos ready. Thanks for the tips, though! :D Most vids are not copyrighted and are just made by people looking to disturb other people, which works out just fine for both parties!

Yeah, just got done reading that! :D Trying to make sure I have everything all set (rules, policies, etc) so I can get a good push for this panel. I've always wanted to do my own panel, but never knew what. This is the perfect idea, as I'm not easily scarred by anything at all, and can pull out some seriously murky stuff from the bowels of the internet (I won't touch deep web, though, not even with a 30 foot pole). It's not my call to set the schedule, so go ahead and submit it, but I'm guessing it's too similar to  programming we already have.  Good luck, mate!

It does seem similar to Cannot Be Unseen, but maybe if you worded it a bit different, with an emphasis on the Creepypasta/horror bit.

And if it does go through I will be expecting Slenderman to make an appearance.

As it stands it's very, very similar. I would suggest something different: why not change the panel to include Dark Media all together. Sure, you can get YouTube videos, but why not include some clips and snippets from TV shows and Movies as well? Why not do a panel on the darkest horrors shown in media instead of limiting yourself to YouTube?

As it is, it will get declined. It's too similar to Things that can't be Unseen and we don't need two 18+ YouTube Panels. But I stand behind the idea of something like the creepiest stuff to creep you out in ALL media-- maybe talking about it clip by clip and discussing the history of why it's creepy/the source of the horror. (Have you seen the opening to American Horror Story? AWESOME!)

Last year, horror was a bit missing in Cannot Be Unseen. I am talking about the genre (there were many horrifying things in that panel). :D Agreed. I'll try my best to put this idea forward as strong as I can. I think everyone would have a lot of fun (and possibly end up sleeping with the bathroom light on >:D). Already got some short story ideas AND some awesomely creepy music to tell them to. I'm gonna go all out on this, and hope I can be convincing enough to snag an opening!

Well, you certainly did it for me, Missy! I was at the first one, and was determined to stay until the bitter end. I did. And it will be a cold day in a hot place before I go to that panel again. Totally scarred for life.

EDIT: Also, is there going to be more than one projector? I noticed Extreme Geek and I don't know much about the equipment status of PortCon. And is will we need to purchase a specific wire to connect a windows laptop to the projector? Just wondering.

Are there no sledge hammers in England?

Though using a similar concept do not forget the horror of the unseen, Jaws and Alien, or letting some ones mind fill in the blanks, Event Horizon.  I also think you need at least one cat that pops up and surprises people.  A huge horror/suspense staple.
