A group who claims that Caucasians who cosplay are racist because they are impersonating another culture?

It makes sense, I mean. Americans look nothing like Anime characters. With their big eyes, crazy colored hair, pale skin, and outrageous fashions.

Real Asians use circle lenses to make their eyes look bigger in cosplay (and rounder and more Caucasian), crazy colored hair isn't natural to anyone and I have never met someone paler than me, and I'm a purebred German Jew. Race shouldn't play a part in cosplay. And if that group had said "Africans who cosplay are racist" they'd have been backhanded by the blogosphere. Going after Caucasians is easy. The fact is, effort is the only thing that matters. With makeup, lenses, wigs, and a well made outfit anyone can look beautiful and in-character.

Besides, not all anime characters are Japanese. And most Asians don't look Japanese at all. If anything, grouping all Asians together is a bit racist.

his username on youtube and other pages is "ProudtobeAsian"
He makes videos dissing anyone who isn't Asian and cosplaying. He's not even Asian if you've seen his pics

It's the internet, the best thing to do with people like this is simple. Ignore them. They want attention and are doing this to get attention. They know they can get people angry if they do this so people talk about them. As much as people disagree with him just ignore him let his words fall on deaf ears. No mater what you say he will just tell you you're wrong and he's right. He will keep it up as long as people yell at him.

I've reported the page to Facebook using the link at the bottom.  I suggest others do the same.  I suspect that their reaction time is directly tied to the number of complaints received.

I reported them myself.. however, if you take a look, they only have 65 members. It looks like someone and their friends over seas and a handful of others. If it had say 1000+ members I'd be worried.

Oh yes, because all the Hetalia characters are so obviously meant to be Asian (Even the ones who represent France and Great Britain), and Street Fighter? All the American Characters are obviously Asian-American. Oh-- not to mention a few dozen other characters where they're clearly stated to be from other countries/dimensions/planets.... obviously they came from Planet!Asia/Dimension!A!

Nothing should stop you from cosplaying what you want to cosplay, ever. If you have a great costume that doesn't offend/upset anyone and you make it work, do it.

@Taga: There's a few people that I noticed who joined the group of them to argue with them as you can't see all their posts. I joined it to read more posts, then unjoined and reported.
