Cosplay Craftmanship suggestion
« on: February 12, 2011, 09:53:38 AM »
Myself like other I would think do not have access to a printer during the year nevermind a color printer. Other conventions allow email reference pictures for the judges to use would this be possible to do sometime in the future?

If you personally have no way to print anything, that would probably work, as long as you have your own laptop for use.  We can't guarantee that there will be someone on staff with one available for you to use.  Also, the hotel staff has been very nice about printing pictures out off of personal USB thumb drives and the like!  It's just that the judges prefer to have the reference right in front of them while they are doing the judging.

Also, Staples and libraries will print things for a pretty good price, especially if you're only going for one copy.

We could possibly start to do something like that in future years, but we'd need to discuss it with all of the judges.  (It requires one of us to have access to a laptop, and not all of us do, hehe).  It's definitely something we'll think about, and I appreciate the suggestion!

If you have any other questions about Craftsmanship judging, feel free to e-mail portconcosplay@gmail.com too! (:

I was just concerned about the colorization and all since a print out picture could look different then the picture on the computer screen and the hotel (although awesomesauce) doesnt offer color print outs

I work at Staples, it's like a quarter to print a page in color.

Our printer isn't the best either... If you're worried about colorization you might want to really go somewhere professional like Staples.
