The best of PortConMaine guests
« on: June 29, 2010, 07:10:06 PM »
In 2011, PortConMaine will be celebrating its 10th year!  To recognize that, we're interested in inviting back some of your favorite guests from the past 10 years.

Help us decide which guests you'd like to see invited back by taking this anonymous survey:

http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/GBT3GMB

Guests are grouped into multiple categories such as voice actors, web comic, and gaming in order to help your selections.  They are all listed in order of appearance.  (2002 guests are listed first.)  There are some general guest questions presented on the final page of the survey to gauge interest in guests in general.  (...so even if you hate guests, this survey is for you!)

THIS IS NOT THE PLACE TO SUGGEST NEW GUESTS!
Any new guest suggestion will happen at a later date and in a different thread.  Do not start a thread for guest suggestion at this time.

Taken, but it seemed a little odd to list Luke Morgan as a webcomic artist rather than a gaming-related guest, because we had him in 2010 doing panels about Billy Vs Snakeman rather than Dub This!.

seconded... but he probably has a better chance as a web comic artist, as he was a reason why this year was so awesome

Of course I voted for Luke, as soon as I found him in the webcomics section. And voted to try and get Samantha Inoue-Harte back too. I just want to see her pick Mick up again, and squeaky "I'm on a Boat" too.

Oops!  Yeah, he probably should have been under gaming, but I saw "artist" as I was looking through the guest history on AnimeCons.com and wasn't really thinking about it at the time.  I'm afraid to change it now or it may reset votes for him.

...so if anyone's looking for him, look under webcomics.  You can always go back in and change your answers too.

I've had a little over a dozen responses so far and am seeing some interesting trends, but I'd like to have a much larger sample size.  If you haven't taken the survey (all 5 pages of it, it's NOT just one page), please do so.

Huh, I thought his name was Luke McMasters, or is that just a psuedonym?  Anyhow we definitely need him back.  He was great.  :Ragabash:

I honestly had a hard time picking only two VA guests that I liked. D: There's more than two that I would really, really like to come back either because I wasn't at portcon the year they came, or they were really fun to have.

I voted for Scott Melzer to come back, even for selfish reasons and the understanding he probably won't.

Also voted for the Applegeek guys. Never been able to meet them in person

If I understand it correctly, his real name is Luke Morgan, his pseudonym is Al McMasters, and his nickname is the 11DBHK.

I would also suggest putting what guests would be famous for, because people may know what comics or things they like but not know the person's name.

91 people have taken the survey.

If you haven't taken the survey yet, we'd greatly appreciate it...
