Mahjong
« on: January 26, 2011, 10:16:57 PM »
Anyone here know how to play Mahjong? And I don't mean solitaire (the tile stacking game).

I'm talking about 4 winds

I used to play it all the time. But.... it's been like 4 years, so I've completely forgotten.

I've only played the version on my computer (not the windows version) that my grandmother gave me. I would love to learn how to actually play though.

Yeah, a lot of people get confused because there are two different forms of mahjong

The first is the Solitair Mahjong, where you get a pyramid of tiles and have to match them

the second is the REAL way of playing. It is kind of like Gin Rummy, Poker, Dominoes, and A-Hole all mixed together, very strategic and psychological.

I will be running the latter.

Sorry I missed it.  I really wanted to learn.  I didn't even see anyone playing it. It must have happened when I was running a game.  Hope you will run again next year.

Yeah, I should have planned with the Boardgame chair to have a permanant table. I also should get a dealer in so we can have a game going the entire con.
