What are some ''rules'' you've found while playing a game. Some rules you find by trial and error, or a game glitch

Here's mine :both for original Legend of Zelda

''Never walk without looking, even after you killed all of the enemies because you can get stuck in the trees.'' (that actually happened to me, I was stuck in the forest on 2 tiles between screens. I had to restart the game)

''Never play on a black and white TV'' ( I did that and you can't tell the red enemies from the blue, and when battlling the ''bubbles'' you have to know the difference )

NEVER, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, GET WITHIN 5 FEET OF A LIKE-LIKE!

rolling makes you move faster

never warp with the medicine/frog/eyedrops

best way to aim is to use the tip of the arrow (bow)/ in between the stalks (slingshot) to aim

Always go left it is the right way..at least 9 times out of 10...seriously go through the games again more times then not you are taking a left

I just remembered what you meant by turning the controllers and jumping with them..I used to do that all the time! Wow, it's been so long since I've played the regular controller games. (used to wii and pc now)

Unwritten rule.. if you just can't seem to beat a difficult enemy, release your rage and just hit buttons
That actually worked for me, but then I died after it anyway then I gave up on the game...twas annoying me too much.

a few Little Big Planet rules:

Always check your screws and pivots

the smaller the item in your hand, the funnier it is when you knock someone down

Always get level kits

like rule 34: there is a level for it, no exceptions

just like rule 35: if there isn't a level for it, one will be made, not exceptions

you need four people to get everything

the weird trophies can easily be gotten by play testing a ramp

any game that people play all "serious bro"  i will come up with a silly and hilarious way to play.

If it's a JRPG, prepare to spend hours grinding.

If it's a VN, get a comfy chair and remember your hotkeys.

Also, as a general rule, walkthroughs and cheat codes are only honorable if left until after initial game completion.

Online Gaming Rules:

-If you get seriously angry and start yelling at anyone because we did not succeed in a raid, you need to get a life.
-If you are the healer, it is your job to heal. Not just yourself.
-If you are the tank, it is your job to get in between your allies and your enemies. Not an excuse to run head-first into an army of minions that could otherwise kill you very quickly without support.
-If you are crowd control, it is your job to take care of the crowd. Not the boss.
-If you are DPS, it is your job to blow stuff up. Unless you can also be a tank, healer, or crowd control, you are not a tank, healer, or crowd control.
-If you do not know how to play your character and there is some form of training mode available, you probably shouldn't be in PVP or any kind of wide-scale PVE. Otherwise, let your party members know so that they can back you up if necessary.
-If you are dealing with a character who does not know how to play their character and there is no form of training mode available, do NOT flame them for not knowing how to play. Help them learn.
