Seriously unidentifiable.
« on: December 01, 2010, 02:19:46 AM »
Okay, so I'm taking a total stab in the dark here writing this story. I don't expect anyone to comment, but I'm sure people are gonna at least read it. First off I would like to start off with, please don't judge me on this. I have a good amount of common sense and don't title things they aren't.

So here I go with the actually story. So I was at work, I work at a walmart in the lawn and garden section. I happen to look out side and see two lights, like on an air plane. The first thing I think is "Why the heck is that plane so low?" So I go outside and watch this fly by. As it passes I realize it was even lower then I thought. It was low enough to the point that if it was light out, I could make out bottom details of the thing. After it passes I begin to think it over on what it could of been, it was diamond shaped with lights on all the points. Now that I'm home I looked up the planes that are diamond shaped, the only one I could find was a F-117 Nighthawk Stealth Bomber. But why would such a hi-tech plane of the military be over in an area like ours? And flying ever so low on a clear night? It just has me completely baffled! The only other thing that I can think of would be a UFO. I know both things sound SO far fetched, but their the only two things that could make such sense. I don't want to tag it as one thing, because I want to try and debunk the fact that it could be a UFO. Don't get me wrong, I personally believe we aren't the only living things in all of space. So if anyone can think of anything to help debunk that it could be a UFO I will gladly accept it, and look what ever it might be up. Any one else's thoughts about this would be cool to. I wasn't the only one who saw it, two other of my co-workers did so I know I wasn't alone in witnessing this.

But again, I don't expect any replies. I know this is really out there, and I feel like I'm going to be judged ever so greatly about this, but I just can't think of what it was, and I don't care what others are going to say, or think about me but I just really had to get this off my chest and out there. Any ways, any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

Okay, you're not crazy. When I was younger in Florida, there was a weird looking plane flying VERY low and very slow over my hotel. I noticed it, and as soon as I did, it went at speeds I've never seen before and it vanished. I believe to this day what I saw was UFO's. Trust me, I don't judge you. I believe you.

Hey don't worry, I believe you. I'm a total X-Files nerd, so that is really cool. I've never seen anything strange in the sky before, but I've heard a lot of eyewitness accounts from people I know.

Depending on how far apart the lights where it could have been a helicopter. I would have to know how far the lights are from each other. You'll have to excuse me I'm a person that only believes in what I know, mainly stuff that has been proven by science. So I always tend to look into reason and prefer to get all the info I can before forming an opinion.
Dear internet,
If I don't know you, we've never met face to face. I don't care what you think of me. Infact even if we've met face to face. Unless I want to date you I don't care what you think of me. So you can try to piss me off all you want just don't be offended when I just start laughing.

I deff concur with you shika. But I know it wasn't a helicopter. I know how they sound, and it didn't sound like a helicopter what so ever. Other wise that would of been a thought for me to contemplate. I grew up with my aunt being in the air force so I've been to multiple air shows, as well as growing up around a skydive field, where they jump out of helicopters. So I know a decent amount of stuff on man-made flying crafts, and like I said, I know it wasn't a helicopter. There where no blades and it was low enough that if it had any, I would of been able to see them. I would give you a guess on distance but I'm really bad at guess how far things are away from each other. The best I could do would be draw a picture and guess from there on distance from the lights.

Was it flying?  Could you identify it?

Sounds like an Unidentified Flying Object to me.  :Thbbbt:

Whether it came from space or not now that one's harder to answer.  I wouldn't rule out the possibility of a stealth plane.  The air force used to send training flights over Maine all the time.  Or it could have been doing reconnaissance for Target.  :Ragabash:

I have a friend in the Air Force. About 10 years ago, he was flying a plane to Germany and let his parents know he would be passing over their house in Auburn that night.  His parents invited a bunch of friends over to watch. They spotted it approaching from the southwest. He was flying low and slow.  As he got overhead, he went to full throttle and kicked in the afterburners.  I seem to recall it being a stealth bomber.

The next day, there was a newspaper article about people seeing a UFO. The paper checked with Brunswick Naval Air Station who said they had no activity at the time. (Of course, the wonderful Sun-Journal never called the Air Force.)

My father even heard people talking about it at Dunkin Donuts.  It was a popular gossip story at the time apparently.  They never came forward to admit it was my friend out of fear of the public being angry about taxpayer money being spent on that. (...even though he was flying past anyway.). Besides, a good UFO story never hurt anyone.

Hmmm...would have been better if you had a video of this. Phone cameras or slim digital cameras should be a must have pocket items for everyone. But I kind of agree with Stephen Hawking that if there were aliens visiting earth, we should assume they are not friendly---haven't heard of a peaceful species yet or anything that doesn't consume any other species (plant or animals). SO I hope to meet aliens only in sci-fi movies.

I really wish I had a camera as well. I had my phone, but it was dead. And by dead I mean wouldn't even turn on. And I work at a place that is always on your back so I wouldn't be able to keep my camera on me at all. But this thing just dragged by. Anyways, I concur that any alien that could possible be here or come here is not friendly. I actually recently had a dream about alien's. It was weird and I woke up in a pure sweat it was that intense, and seemed that real. Basically in the dream, after other events have taken place that I can't remember XD, I was talking to a friend and they told me they where abducted and all, and of course I didn't believe them. Then next thing I know I was driving around with people and I could see a UFO on the other side of a hill. So I reversed my car hoping it hadn't seen me. Just after I did a k-turn I was turned to face 3 UFO's like stacked on one another, and all I remember is just driving trying to get away with the people in my car screaming and going into a full panic, and then I woke up. Yeah, it was really weird, and really freaked me out. I had to sit for a few moments to decipher weather or not it was a dream it seemed so real. lol
