... In comparison, this makes the computer-animated cartoon film TMNT seem like it was the best idea in the world.

Michael Bay?

Seriously, even the Victoria's Secret commercial he directed had them.

Luckily, my obsession with TMNT was significantly more fleeting than my ongoing obsession with Transformers.  I won't feel the need to feed his shenanigans with my ticket purchase.

I'm happy with my classic Ninja Turtles. I just bumped into my old tapes of the first two movies, alongside a giant plastic box filled with all my old ninja turtles figures. It made me so nostalgic. Also reminded me how awesome Donatello was. Purple has NEVER been cooler ^.^

A few months ago I bought the first three movies on DVD, since my VHS copy of the second one was having audio problems. I also have the making of VHS of the first two movies.
And, let me say, not even a move across the border could make me part with my Mikey standup, plush, and action figures.  :Innocent:

I've never seen the 3D movie, nor do I plan to. And this new one...  more likely not either.

Ugh another crappy remake? Why? Raph went more towards emo overly troubled teen, from his used to be wise cracking self. It saddens me.

For one the cartoon was an abomination,Rocksteady and Bebop weren't even in the original comic(which was awesome cause the Turtles were all violent and all the good stuff...also no Tokka,Razhar,Frogs or Slash) what they should do if they make a new turtles movie they should make it alot more like the first one and just build on that instead of adding in more useless crap

The future for TMNT hasn't been looking bright in general.  Nickelodeon bought the rights to the series.  There's supposedly a CGI cartoon coming in 2012.  Kill me now.

I'll be honest, I thought that the CGI movie was decent.  My major complaint was that it really shafted Donatello and Michelangelo and focused mainly on Leo and Raph.

Also, I know I'm about to get shot for this, but I will personally always see the 2003 cartoon as infinitely superior to the 80s one.  Probably the only good thing 4Kids ever did, but that's probably because one of the original comic creators had a say in what went into that series.  It was darker and edgier, yes, but that's how TMNT started.  The '03 verse is closer to its original roots.  It did stray off into filler and season six and most of seven should have never existed, but even so when it was following a solid story, it did a great job.  Plus not all of the filler was horrible.  It was a nice contrast to the goofy toon of the 80s.  If anybody ever watched Turtles Forever then you can see a pretty awesome (AKA hilarious) comparison.
