What mmos do you play? (Now only about free mmos) (But you can post Pics)

Note: For now on this topic is only for free mmos, Because I made in mind to be wow free. I've never played wow and don't care if I ever play it ever.

I don't play wow because it's over rated and I don't like mmos with taxs.

I used to play Ultima Online,not gonna list my chars there because in the end i had 18.I was a roleplayer there

Now i play Luna Online with my hubby,it just a level crunching game but fun,there im only 5

I also refuse to play WoW,from what ive heard of it its mostly a graphics game and not very fun

WoW's kept my attention for four years.  It is actually pretty light on the graphics (for a modern game) and has the widest variety of things to do of any MMO I've ever played, which is saying kind of a lot.

If you don't personally find it fun, that's one thing, but try it first before making unfounded speculations.  Personally, I find it enjoyable, in practice.  The assumption that it MUST be horrible because it's popular is frankly, annoying and borderline offensive to me.

I avoid free MMO's because I don't like that any random 8 year old can jump on with impunity; nothing against it, I just don't like that kind of environment.  I mean...WoW's no paragon of maturity, but at least mommy and daddy have to agree to pay the 15 bucks a month before Bobby and Sally can play.  Narrows it down a little.

i myself have been playing it since shortly after its release (so about 5 years now XD) and to all those who bad mouth it, i just say this

atleast try it for a month, and make sure its not the free trial thing. you dont get the whole game with those stupid things.

WoW is kind of wierd to me, I'll play nonstop for six or seven months, drop it for a bit to try other MMO's, and then start in on it again.  I ended up dropping my sub for eight months to play Warhammer when it came out, but that one was pretty disappointing.  Picked up Lich King this April on a lark and...well.

I fully admit that WoW isn't for everyone.  Ragabash dropped it at BC and is now having quite a lot of fun with Pirates of the Burning Sea, a game I played for three months before I got bored with it.  <shrug>

Frankly you should have expected a lot of people to say I play WoW when you made the thread asking for Which MMO's people play.

You want Free MMO's Change the title to something like What Free MMOs do you play?  If you're looking for other games not-WoW just ignore the WoW posts.  Don't get offended at people's choice of hobbies.  Just sit back and laugh like I do! 
Pick a path and change the title accordingly, or I will just to keep things civil.

I played WoW for a while, enjoyed it then, but got tired of everything being the same.  even after the first expansion the different stuff was the same.  From looking over Armgnawer's shoulder it looks like there's alot more variety but not enough to drag me back. 

Currently the only Free MMO I play is Kingdom of Loathing.

Kaichee Balior - Pirate on Antigua Server there.

It's one of the most different MMO's I've ever played.  There's two forms of combat there, one is ship combat.  Sailing around in almost any size ship and blasting away at each other with cannons, and there's Avcom which more like standard MMO's.  Whiole this game is not free, I can give you guys one month free.  I still have over 450 unrestricted free trials.  (That's different than the 15 day free trials on the website I linked.)

Instead you chose to insult me unprovoked not once, but twice, for participating in what was at first glance an open discussion.  Jerk move. 


I'm loving my recent stint in KoL, but I'm not really sure I'd consider it an MMO.  Not a whole lot of real-time player interaction there.

I occasionally log on there, to harass Jenn/CJ Gren or to catch up with my many friends there. I'm fruity vuish (#5426), if anyone happens to see me. I think.

I also occasionally play Atlantica Online, too.

for free MMOs there was this cool little 2d side top-view side-scroller i used to play called Deloria. same name as the car but an RPG style of playing. twas really fun until it shut down a few years back (like, 5 or 6 years ago lol)

ive been playing dungeon fighter online but mostly ill play wow or eve online
