Ohh,
do you know how artist alley there works? Do you register (too late now I guess) or is it first come first serve?
And does this convention include anime in comics?

Most of Bang Pop is done by artists who are local and non-manga in general. There were many people there who do manga-like work. But there are no real celebrated manga-ka's there.

Artist Alley is paired with vendors room. if it's in the same facility as last year it's one big room at the center. There are 2 other rooms that served as video and panel rooms.

I'm sure you can e-mail Gibran at the email on the site and find out if everything is closed. (I'm pretty sure it's not.)

I wish bangor had a anime convention.
Oh well, they allow cosplay (which I didn't do there last year) and you can get old comic books for 50 cents.

I saw the 2009 dates, but the info on the site is outdated, I really wanted something updated with "where it takes place" and a 2009 event schedule.
Yeah i'd love to do artist alley there, im not TOO far from bangor ( but im a crapload of miles away from portland).

I'll be attending like I did last year. But unlike last year (which was one of my many cosplay travesties), I will not be cosplaying unless, by some miracle, I can get all the pieces of the General Blue cosplay in my hands and ready to go in a month and a half which, going at my mother's pace, is a near-impossible task.

I'm still deciding if I want to go or not.

Seems cool - not like it'll hurt going. I don't think I'd be cosplaying though, unless I do Kairi again, which would be easy since I'm DYING my hair red in a few weeks. That way I wouldn't have to wear that hideous wig. o-o
