Attention all PortCon Attendees North of Augusta

According to the Maine DOT, I-295 will be reduced to 2 lanes (northbound) starting Tuesday, June 16th and extending until the end of August. 
This diversion will be between Gardiner and Topsham.  Any individuals headed southbound will have to take Route 201 or I-95.

Personally, I'd avoid I-295 altogether.

Ian and I saw the connector roads that they've paved and some speed limit signs in the south-bound side of the highway facing the wrong way. It looks like they will, at some point, be sending north bound traffic up through the south bound side? This might be what the DOT was talking about.

At any rate, it looks like it'll be a mess! Thanks for posting this, Wolf. The expensive toll and extra half hour or so that you get from taking I-95 all the way down are probably going to be well worth it.
